Gary Rawlings
Design Director,Gensler

An admirer of modernism and simplicity, Gary believes that buildings should respond to the environment and be rigorously tested to ensure they will perform as designed. He is fascinated by the impact of technology on our built environment and how we can further leverage technology in design. This passion lead Gary to serve as an active member of the British Council for Offices (BCO)’s Technical Affairs Committee since 2009. Gary’s depth of experience includes work on projects of varying scales and across many industry sectors—from residential towers, hospitals, infrastructure, and numerous office developments. A regular speaker at architecture and construction conferences, Gary was a RIBA part three examiner at Westminster University during the 2013 and 2014 academic years. He was also a member of the Design Review Panel for the London Borough of Hackney in 2014.
