Sotiris Tsoulos
Design Director,RMJM Dubai

After founding and leading RMJM Istanbul for six years, Sotiris Tsoulos joined RMJM Dubai as Design Director in early 2018. Prior to that, Sotiris
had worked in Athens, where he was born and raised, Glasgow, where he studied, and Vienna and Kuala Lumpur, where he worked. The diverse
contexts and requirements of these very different cities taught Sotiris how to appropriately respond to a myriad of architectural challenges, all
while remaining unique in his expression.
Sotiris has worked on multitude of high profile projects, across many industry sectors, from a large scale mixed-use, master planning projects
all the way to smaller-scale landscape and urban regeneration developments.
Sotiris’ most remarkable achievements include designing and project management of the Ancient Olympia venue for the 2004 Athens Olympics
Shot put competition, the Grand Pera project in Istanbul, which won the best ‘New & Old Completed Projects’ in the 2017 World Architecture
Festival (WAF) and the G Tower, a 28-storey residential building that broke the logic of the podium by introducing the concept of a village at the
All of Sotiris’ projects have one thing in common — they are designed in line with his self-defined principles of sustainable design that involves
striking an equilibrium between the three affected parties of a project — The City, The Developer and The End User.

During the company’s long association with the UAE, RMJM has designed many notable and prestigious buildings, including the world renowned Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) precinct buildings, the Dubai International Convention Centre (DICC)The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and the world’s most leaning building, Capital Gate in Abu Dhabi. RMJM was also one of the first international consultants to work with the Engineer’s Office for the ruling family of Dubai.
